It used to be that you’d have to find an editor in your own local town to make things work. Not any more. The internet has changed everything. Most of my work has been with clients all over the country and around the world.

A good example of how well this works is the feature film QUANTA that was filmed in Australia. Proxy files were created there and sent to me via dropbox. Then the original raw camera files were shipped to me on a hard drive ready for the color grading process. If your project isn’t as large as a feature film, it’s so easy to transfer them over the internet. As I edit, I upload drafts for clients to give feedback.

When it comes to shorter projects like Corporate Videos and TVC’s, Camera files can be uploaded overnight ready to start in the morning. I also use other workflows that make what seemed impossible only a few years ago, possible.
